Optimise streaming performance
Check the following points to achieve an improvement in streaming performance.
- Check whether the latency is possibly caused by a third-party solution in use: Turn off virus software and backup solutions and recheck performance.
- Check whether your user has made any settings that may lead to performance losses. For example, if the "Desktop background can be changed by user" option is activated, you can force this to be deactivated.
- Go to the oneclick™ IP addresses article and enter the oneclick™ IP addresses in the allowlist (formerly whitelist) of your firewall. This is the only way to reduce latency.
- Add the ingoing IP address of oneclick™ streaming to the allowlist on the client (if the firewall restricts outgoing internet connections).
- Add the outgoing IP address of oneclick™ streaming to the allowlist on the connected server.
- ! When allowlisting (formerly whitelist), make sure that traffic to and from oneclick™ is excluded from packet inspection.
- If your users receive a red warning message, add the hostname of the displayed turn server to the allowlist.”
- Check all performance dependencies in oneclick™:
- If your users value the lowest possible latency (not smooth videos), you can move the streaming optimization slider in the app configuration all the way to "Low Latency". Info: Fast images (videos) played in the mode result in higher bandwidth consumption.
- If you want to give your users the option to set the streaming optimization themselves depending on their usage behavior, go to the app configuration and check "Changeable by the user" in the access settings for streaming optimization.
