Connectivity & VPN
Which VPN options can be connected with oneclick™?
You can connect you infrastructure via VPN IPsec to oneclick™. With oneclick™, VPN IPsec site-to-site connections can be established via an automatic mode or an extensive manual mode. We support IKEV1 and IKEV2 with all common algorithms. More equirements you view in the article Connection via VPN IPsec.
Is oneclick™ able to replace my VPN client?
Yes, oneclick™ can deliver your business applications and desktops in the browser to e.g. sales representatives or employees in home office without the need to install VPN software (client-to-site) on end devices.
File & Resource Management
How is the file exchange between the local end device and the VDI working?
The oneclick™ Hybrid Drive enables file exchange between the local end device and the VDI using drag-and-drop. The ability to share folders ensures secure collaboration with team members, customers and partners.
Is it possible to connect external storage to oneclick™?
Yes, you will need the Professional User License, which includes the Hybrid Drive App. In this app you can connect external storage, such as SMB shares or cloud storage, such as Dropbox. The files that you want to use within your applications can then be dragged and dropped into the mounted drive “Hybrid App Share on oneclick”.
Hardware Integration
Is it possible to use USB devices with oneclick™?
Since oneclick™ is 100% browser based, you currently cannot connect USB end devices directly. Due to security restrictions you cannot use them in your applications and desktops.
Currently, USB devices can only be integrated into oneclick™ using our partner solution from SEH, e.g. for dongles and other USB end devices.
Is it possible to integrate my printer into oneclick™?
You can use the print function in oneclick™ to create a PDF file and print it locally.
As an alternative, we offer a cloud printing service by Printix, which allows you to print remotely from your home.

SSO, AD & Authentication
Is it possible to use my SSO provider with oneclick™?
With oneclick™, you can easily use your existing SSO provider such as Azure AD to simplify your user administration.
Other SSO providers are available on request.
oneclick™ also offers various integration options for Enterprise IAM environments.
Servers, VDI & Operating Systems
Which server operating system version is included in the VDI packages?
A Microsoft® Windows Server Datacenter 64-bit license for version 2019, 2022, or 2025 is included, depending on which version is supported by the respective cloud provider.
What is a Virtual Desktop Infrastruktur?
A virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) is an efficient form of application provision. Software applications are run at a central data centre location and operated by users via remote access. Each user is assigned their own virtual computer on a server.
How do users access the oneclick™ VDI?
Users access the VDI based on granted rights. The oneclick™ platform transmits the image of the editing process of applications and data as a stream to the end device. High-level encryption, a shielded login service, automatic password rotation as well as multi-level authentication significantly increase security, for example compared to the native use of Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). You can find more information on the supported web browsers, end devices and operating systems as well as on the required bandwidth in our technical requirements.
Can I use Microsoft Office 365 on the VDI?
Yes, but due to Microsoft’s licensing regulations, you can only use certain licence types. The following Microsoft licence types allow the use of the Office software on a multi-user VDI:
- Microsoft Apps for Business
- Office 365 E3 / E5
- Microsoft 365 E3 / E5
To ensure consistent and audit-compliant licensing, we recommend purchasing Microsoft licenses directly through oneclick™. We are a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), participate in the Microsoft CSP Hoster Program, and offer licenses under the Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA).
App2App & System Communication
Is app2app communication possible?
Yes, it is possible that, for example, that Excel is triggered within Sage and then opened. However, both programs must be installed on the same server.
Licenses & Rights
Do I need RDS CAL with oneclick™?
For a single-user migration, you do not require additional Microsoft licenses. However, if you want to build a multi-user environment (via oneclick™ Cloud Resource Manager or via a connection to RDS servers), you must have a valid license for Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Services.
Depending on the type of delivery, there are different licensing options for Microsoft Windows Server:
Delivery from our own data center (On-Premises) For this purpose you need a “Microsoft RDS Client Access Licenses” (RDS CAL)*.
Delivery from a hosted data center (Private, Public) For this purpose, you can use a “Microsoft RDS Client Access Licenses” (RDS CAL)* with active “Microsoft Software Assurance” (SA). Alternatively, you can use a “Microsoft RDS Subscriber Access Licenses” (RDS SAL) from the Microsoft SPLA License Program as part of a monthly billing. It depends on your cloud provider whether you need to license Microsoft RDS SAL yourself or whether the license is included in the cost of use.
Very often, it is assumed that no RDS licensing is required when accessing the desktop of a Windows server or applications installed on that desktop via a third party solution such as oneclick™. That’s wrong! Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Services licensing is required when a Microsoft Windows Server Desktop or applications deployed through a Microsoft Windows Server Desktop can be accessed. It is irrelevant whether Microsoft Remote Desktop Services or any other technology is used.

*Microsoft RDS CAL can be licensed per user or per device. In most cases, user licensing is the best option.
