Enable UDP hole punching
To avoid increased latencies due to redirection through the relay service, enable "UDP hole punching technology" (RFC 5128) in your firewall, for a direct connection between the devices.
If you want to access the device through the oneclick™ streaming, we recommend to enable "UDP hole punching" when choosing one of the following data centers for your oneclick™ account:
- Germany - Magdeburg
- South Africa - Johannesburg
- East China - Shanghai
- Southeast Asia - Singapore
Not sure which is the right data center for you? Check your system data.
Configure your firewall according to the manufacturer's instructions to disable the process with the following names:
- symmetric NAT
- PAT
- overload NAT
- dynamic NAT
- port randomization
If you have a hardware firewall in use, you can see how to enable "UDP hole punching" in the pfSense Plus firewall by means of an example.
