JTL App
Set up JTL WaWi and create users
You use JTL via oneclick™, are a JTL admin, and already have access to your JTL applications? Then proceed as follows:
- Start the desired JTL application, for example JTL WaWi. The default username is admin and the default password is pass.
- Complete the JTL WaWi setup wizard.
- Configure JTL WaWi according to your requirements.
- Create the required JTL users.
- Provide the JTL users with their login credentials.
Access credentials for the Microsoft SQL Express database instance
-
The access credentials (username and password) as well as the fixed IP address of the oneclick™ JTL VDI package for the preinstalled Microsoft SQL Express database instance are stored on the administrator’s remote desktop in a text file named “JTL-SQL.txt”.
If this file is not available, make sure you are logged in via oneclick™ using the administrator account. Store the credentials in a secure location and then delete the file from the remote desktop. -
Important: We recommend changing the password for the Microsoft SQL Express database administrator.
External access to the Microsoft SQL Express database instance
If you want to use JTL on your local device and access the database from your office location or home office, please note the following:
- Connections from external systems (third-party software, local JTL installations, etc.) require a fixed IP address from which access to the Microsoft SQL Express database instance on the JTL VDI server will be established. Please provide the oneclick™ support team with the following information to enable access:
- The fixed IP address of your oneclick™ JTL VDI package (see access credentials, item 1).
- The fixed, public IP address from which access will be established, for example from the office location. Please request or obtain this IP address from your internet service provider. Attention! Dynamic IP addresses (for example changing daily) or a fixed domain name (DynDNS) are not supported.
- The intended access target, for example the database.
After your IP address has been enabled, the oneclick™ support team will inform you by email and, if necessary, provide additional information such as required port numbers. Contrary to the JTL documentation, oneclick™ does not support unsecured exposure of the Microsoft SQL Express database instance. For security reasons, IP whitelisting is mandatory for access.
If no fixed IP address is available, for example in a home office setup, access is only possible via the remote desktop of the JTL VDI package.
Optional when using antivirus software from Kaspersky, McAfee, ESET, or Trend Micro
Whitelist oneclick™ in your firewall and antivirus software.
For any questions regarding your JTL software, please contact the JTL support exclusively.
